What is Cockroach Simulator?

Cockroach Simulator is a free 3D browser game built around a perspective reversal. Round one is viewed from above: choose household tools, track moving cockroaches, and decide when to stop hunting. Round two puts the camera at floor level and turns the same room into a survival space.

The important twist is mechanical as well as visual. The lethal tools and baits you actually used in round one are saved for the transition, so your choices help determine the threats and objects that appear during the cockroach generations.

How the two rounds work

Each selectable item has a different role or presentation. You do not need to use every option, and the selection you make matters later.

Six tips for surviving more generations

1. Use round one to shape round two

   The game remembers which lethal tools and baits you used. That selection becomes part of the next round instead of being discarded.

2. Move the camera before striking

   Right-drag on desktop or use two fingers on touch screens to check the edges of the room and keep a moving target in view.

3. Dash only when the route is clear

   Dashing is fast, but it creates extra noise and can reveal your direction to the human. Save it for crossing exposed ground or escaping a strike.

4. Do not trust one hiding place forever

   The human searches hiding spots. Leave before a search reaches you and avoid repeating a recently exposed route.

5. Protect the egg case until it matures

   Holding E or the on-screen egg control starts laying. An immature egg case can be discovered and destroyed, ending the line if no replacement survives.

6. Expect each generation to change the run

   A mature egg case lets the next generation continue. Survive enough generations and the human eventually leaves the room.

Egg cases, generations and local saves

An egg case takes time to mature and can be destroyed before it is ready. If the player dies after leaving a mature egg case, the next generation can hatch and continue. If no egg case survives, the line ends.

The game ranks runs by generations survived and keeps up to 50 results in the current browser using the local storage key roach_gens. No account or server database is involved. Clearing site data or changing browsers can remove or separate those records.

The full ending begins after the player survives the sequence created from the lethal tools used in round one. At that point, the human leaves the room and the generation result is recorded as an ending.
